We discover floral treasures in Girona: a walk with Maria and Marina Roca

Like every May, Girona Temps de Flors transforms the city into an open garden, and this year we wanted to delve into this transformation with the help of two sensitive and creative eyes: cousins Maria and Marina Roca.

We accompanied them —or perhaps better said, they guided us— on a very personal route to discover the most inspiring floral treasures of the exhibition, while they wore Roosik&Co jewelry as if they were part of the floral scenography.

A route of light, flowers and details

With camera in hand, the Roca sisters have explored hidden courtyards, staircases turned into gardens and facades bursting with color. But they have also focused their eyes — and souls — on the small details: a reflection on a precious stone, the gesture of a hand adorned with a ring, the afternoon light that melts with polished gold.

The places visited

Your favorite place in the entire exhibition? The Cathedral Stairs. This year they have been decorated with hundreds of hydrangeas, which give it a splendid, luminous, monumental touch.

The church of Sant Feliu has also stolen their hearts, with its bright and cheerful colored ribbons. And the white carnations, of different heights, outside the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants.

A new way to experience the city

With their creative and fresh perspective, Maria and Marina propose that we rediscover Girona as a setting of natural elegance. A space where the ephemeral nature of flowers meets the timeless beauty of this city of ours made of water and stone and of Roosik&Co jewelry.

The beauty of the moment

Girona Temps de Flors reminds us that beauty is present, fleeting, intense. And that it can be experienced in the most unexpected spaces: among petals, among friends, among reflections of gems and diamonds.
