Anna and Carolina, our colleagues from Roosik & Co, will help you.
It is important to spend a good amount of time choosing which papers, bows or flowers would look best when wrapping your Christmas presents.
They opted for double-colored Kraft paper, shiny fabric ribbons and freeze-dried natural flowers.
They have also chosen some natural twigs painted gold which, for these holidays, seemed very appropriate to us.
The first thing you need to do is prepare all the elements: papers, ribbons, flowers and white raffia cord. Also tape and scissors.
One of the things you need to consider before you start is to cut the paper to the right size for the package you will be wrapping.
To do this, place the box or gift on top of the paper and leave a margin of three fingers on both sides (left and right). You will see that this way it will be much simpler and more agile to wrap. Want another secret?
Use double-sided tape for a more polished wrap. Try it!
When wrapping the package, try to make the junction of the two ends of the paper in the center. You will cover it with the tapes in a little while.
Continue folding the paper on both sides:
Remember to use double-sided tape.
And press the gift box tightly against the paper to prevent it from blowing away.
First part successfully completed!
It's time for bows and flowers.
Take the shiny ribbon and present it on the package
In this case you will need a long piece of tape as you will make a double loop:
Cut the ribbon to the appropriate size and shape the ends into a marked diagonal finish.
Place it around the package and make sure it covers the seam line of the paper.
Tie both sides with a thin white raffia ribbon.
Now you will make this double loop. See the image:
And re-tie the folded ribbon with a strong knot.
It's time to choose the decoration that will make your package shine!
As a tip, we will tell you that monochromatic or similar flowers usually look very elegant.
Knot the white raffia ribbon again, but this time, don't close it all the way.
In the opening that remains, you will place the pommel of twigs and flowers of your choice.
Once you have them placed in the opening it's time to tighten the string. You can make a double knot to make sure they are secure.
However, we recommend that you control your strength, since if the flowers are natural and dry they can break (we have proven this well!)
You can choose to leave the raffia ribbon long or cut it at the end of the knot. You can also trim the flower tails if you find them too long or messy.
And now, look at your artwork! Beautiful, isn't it? You can repeat the process with other packs and try new combinations of papers, ribbons and flowers.
We promise that your gifts will already be a hit before you even open them.
