Where it all begins: the impulse of life

From the third week of gestation, the heart, our little treasure, begins to beat. Thump-thump; thump-thump; thump-thump... The heart is one of the first organs to function in a human being, although it will continue to develop throughout the first trimester of pregnancy. Its rhythmic sound accompanies us from this nascent moment, a moment when we still don't know what the little person we carry inside will be like. But the seed is already there; we could say that the main lines are already drawn.

The birth of a jewel is very similar to this process: it all begins with a first beat, an impulse, an idea, an intuition. Pure energy. Everything is yet to come and nothing has taken shape yet, but it is already essential for the journey that begins with the design, the first gesture. The journey will continue in the workshop, polishing and setting a gemstone, working with metals, and will not end until that jewel reaches the person who wears it. Just as in art, the work is not complete until it is seen, experienced, and felt by the spectator.

BATEC, A UNIQUE EDITION FOR SANT JORDI

All this process has given rise to Batec, the new Roosik&Co pendant. It all started with a process of introspection by Jordi Rosich, the creator of our jewels, asking himself what our iconic heptagon was like before it was an heptagon, before it existed as such. Was it gesture and emotion? Was it a force that struck to become form? Perhaps it didn't even have seven sides!

These are precisely the heptagons that shine on the Batec pendant, the ones that were at the very beginning. In Batec, gold undulates like a living movement, forming subtle scales that embrace the central gem, a burst of color illuminated by the cluster of diamonds that holds it.

Batec is a unique edition, created to celebrate Sant Jordi in 2026. A jewel to symbolize this day forever, to "encapsulate" the present and preserve it in an infinite future.

THREE IMPULSES, THREE BEATS

The beat of Roosik & Co has been made into a jewel to represent three different impulses: that of roots, that of calm, and that of illusion. The colors of the stones define a way of feeling and represent the beats that move us, that inspire us, that motivate us and infuse us with vital energy.

The Beat of the Roots is the impulse to grow, to start over, to take root and move forward; it is like the primary impulse of plants and the universe of botany, which is why the stone of this Beat is a Green Garnet.

On the other hand, the Beat of Calm carries an Aquamarine, because it is an impulse to stop and listen to oneself, to find the light, just as the transparency of water allows us to see the seabed.

And a third impulse is the Beat of Illusion, the same one that generates the thump-thump we felt inside us, a soft beat that awakens tenderness and hope, an unconditional love that at Roosik & Co we materialize with the Malay Garnet of the pendant.

Three stones. Three impulses. Three beats. Thump-thump; thump-thump; thump-thump...

Choose your beat
