The colours of <br>Fageda d’en Jordà

La Fageda d’en Jordà is one of the 28 nature reserves in the Volcanic Zone Nature Park in La Garrotxa county, Girona province. This beech wood is exceptional because it has grown on the lava flows from the Croscat volcano. The Croscat is also worth a visit, but the charm of the beech wood makes it ideal for a romantic stroll. The trees are also beautiful in spring but it’s in autumn when the riot of colour makes the woods particularly enchanting: ochres, reds, yellows… Amongst the trees, peace and quiet reign supreme because no motor vehicles are allowed. There are several routes of differing lengths so you can choose the one that suits you best. And enjoy a peaceful stroll in a place that’s perfect for talking, for sharing feelings and wishes, for getting away from it all or simply for appreciating nature together.
