About metals and gems

Creativity and Savoir Faire

The designer jewelery from Roosik & Co is inspired by personal experiences that express the sensitivity and delicacy with which they were created. Jordi Rosich, gemologist, incruster and certified engraver, specialist in diamonds, signs the pieces of Roosik&Co, who designs and works by hand in his shop in Girona. The creations from Roosik&Co combine precious metals and gemstones in an evocative and nostalgic collection. They are elegant and beautiful jewelry while suggestive, jewelry to awaken the emotion of those who wear them.

Although garnets can be found in a wide range of colours such as yellow, orange, coffee, black, etc., it's the ruby red that has made this gemstone so popular. Garnets were incredibly fashionable in the 18th and 19th century in Europe and appear a lot in Victorian jewellery. Used as a precious stone since the Bronze Age, garnets can last a long time thanks to their hardness, which also means they can be cut into a wide range of shapes. The bright colouring of garnet makes it especially suitable for fashionable jewellery such as the pieces created by Jordi Rosich in the Blossom collection.

Rose Gold

This metal gets its characteristic pink tone from being an alloy between gold and a mixture of copper and silver. Rose gold can be redder when it has a larger proportion of copper and whiter or paler in tone by increasing the proportion of silver. Rose gold is sometimes combined with yellow gold and white gold but it's also worked on its own as it conveys a gentler character than yellow gold to the pieces, giving them a more classic but modern style. Jordi Rosich makes some engagement rings in rose gold, using a singular design that stands out from more traditional pieces.
