Imagine a stone that doesn't want to shine more than any other, but has been considered sacred for millennia. A gem that doesn't seduce with sparkles, but with presence. This stone exists. It's the green jade of Burma and its deep color, mixed with lighter and even whitish shades of green, seems to hold ancestral secrets.
We present the new pendant from the Heptabloom collection with green jade from Burma. Let's be there!
Green jade from Burma: stone of wisdom and protection
Burmese jade, also known as imperial jadeite, is one of the most precious minerals in the world , both for its color and its hardness. Its green hue can range from a soft, translucent green to an intense, almost hypnotic green. In Asia, and especially in Chinese culture, this stone has been considered more valuable than gold for centuries.
A gem formed by time and patience
Burmese jade is a variety of jadeite, different from nephrite in composition (it is a pyroxene rich in sodium and aluminum).
Jade is not formed like so many other gems, born from fire and magma. On the contrary, it is the result of a slow and silent transformation. It is born when alumina-rich rocks are subjected to very high pressures and relatively low temperatures, and change profoundly. This phenomenon takes place in subduction zones, where one tectonic plate sinks under another.
Jade is, therefore, a patient creation of the Earth: as if nature had needed thousands of years to say a single word.
Legends and beliefs: the heart of nature
According to Burmese legend, green jade is a stone blessed by the spirits of nature . The ancients believed that it was created by the union of sacred river water and the tears of a celestial dragon. Therefore, when a person found green jade on the bank of a river, it was considered a sign of fortune.
In China, it was customary to give jade as a gift to friends and births , as a symbol of protection and health. It was also used by emperors to attract wisdom in making important decisions.
An amulet for you
The symbolism of jade is extensive, and it has always been related to wisdom, longevity, sincere love and spiritual balance. Who knows if this balance has its origin in the composition of the gem. Green jade is made up of sodium, and sodium is well known to balance the water and blood pressure in our body.
Thanks to its heptagonal shape – seven, the number of good luck – and the jade that accompanies it, this jewel reminds you that you have within you the strength to maintain harmony, even on the stormiest days.
